About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to safely provide prime quality material for end work or shipment and minimize downtime for optimum production. Must meet all Personal Performance Requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to create and maintain a positive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude and reporting all personnel issues in cell to the Lead or Supervisor. Must demonstrate the ability to properly follow posted Standard Work instructions and all written Standard Operating Procedures. Demonstrate the proper lockout/tag out procedures on equipment. Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand a production run schedule for the Paint lines. Must understand the required Mil specifications for the material being run and perform all required Quality checks. Must understand the required board temperature and be able to adjust feed speeds to obtain proper temperatures. Must demonstrate the proper adjustments to obtain proper paint coverage Must demonstrate the ability to identify and repair splits/cracks, poor putty repair, poor primer coverage and ensure primer is dry before packing. Must be able to train employees to stack product in a nice uniform package and it must be to the proper height, width, depth, and quantities. Must keep work area clean, this includes the front, back and outfeed chains of the Paint line. Must demonstrate the ability to assist in clean-up of Vacuum Coater and oven using proper procedures. Must be able to perform equipment start-up and shutdown per operating procedure based on area of operation. Must be able to perform set-up procedures for all product profiles. Must demonstrate the capability to achieve quality and production requirements at all POM positions. Assist with Viscosity and Mil adjustments. Adjustments made with water are to be made with measuring device provided.  Train crew members on quality, and all aspects of grading material. Responsible for machine operations including safety, quality, and production. Responsible for daily clean-up, making sure crew assists in shutdown procedures. Must demonstrate a complete understanding of products and item number identifications. Must demonstrate the ability to properly execute all aspects of the Work Order process, including in feeds and out feeds. Must demonstrate the ability to achieve production goals set for respective production lines. Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot any problems with the Paint line operation, repair as necessary, and always keep the Paint line crew busy.

Requirements

  • Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Able to follow verbal, written instructions and be aggressive enough to learn all the functions of this machine
  • Good hand-eye coordination and mechanically adaptable
  • Normal and corrected hearing and vision are necessary with manual coordination, some walking, bending, twisting, and stooping and climbing stairs and lifting of approximately 35 lbs.
  • Be exposed to wood dust and aluminum with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent.
  • Able withstand heat in excess of 95 degrees.
  • Stand for 10 hours.
