About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direction of the Paint Production Lead, independently perform powder coating applications while actively supporting all daily powder line operations, including masking, hanging, palletizing, and staging. Maintain equipment, documentation, and production flow in accordance with quality standards.

Manual dexterity

Nice To Haves

High school graduate plus relevant vocational training
Thorough knowledge of the various types of paint equipment

Responsibilities

Read and interpret customer blueprints to properly mask and plug customer identified features
Properly use diagnostic equipment to verify coating quality
Prepare surfaces for painting, which may include sanding, masking and cleaning
Remove masking and plugs of production parts exiting the cure oven
Hang and remove production parts from chain line
Inspect painted products for quality and ensure they meet specifications
Manage inventory of paint, coatings, and other supplies
Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Execute routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and debris free department
Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with supervisor, lead, and co-workers
Willing to work overtime when needed
Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation
Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
Assist in manufacturing when necessary
Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
