About The Position

The Job duties include but are not limited to: Removal and/or placement of metal parts onto/off of a hook as it passes by to a staging area or the powder coat booth. Identify parts by part number in order to stage them successfully for the assembly process area. Ability to work with both hands to apply/remove rubber plugs from painted parts. Ability to work at a fast pace. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

Requirements

  • One to three months related experience and/or training and a stable work history.
  • Associate should have the ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Must have the ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Associate should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions and administer the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables should the need arise.
  • Some computer skills may be required depending on the job they are placed in.
  • Some positions require the knowledge of the AS400 computer software system.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Removal and/or placement of metal parts onto/off of a hook as it passes by to a staging area or the powder coat booth.
  • Identify parts by part number in order to stage them successfully for the assembly process area.
  • Ability to work with both hands to apply/remove rubber plugs from painted parts.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Identify parts with tags indicating part number, quantity, and destination.
  • Housekeeping of areas to be maintained.
  • Safe work environment to be maintained.
  • Communicate with area coordinator.
  • Work with others as a team, demonstrating a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain a well-organized work area.
