You will take a new vehicle product and / or technology launches from <PA> Program Approval milestone through the entire launch process to full production acceleration. You will be responsible for executing to all the deliverables and reporting to management status to the plan. You will be supported by the Global Paint Engineering Team as you transition and become a capable Manufacturing Development Engineer.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or production or launch experience
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office Toolset
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills
  • Requires frequent reporting to Senior Management on Program
  • Ability to work and show leadership under high stress levels and within team environment.
  • Self motivated with forward thinking

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years' experience in Paint Process & Facilities
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline (pref BSc, Eng OR related field - Biology, Computer Science, Applied Science, etc)
  • Assembly Plant experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of the GPDS Design/Launch timing
  • Minimum Greenbelt certified w/demonstrated problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Feasibility Development and/or Program Launch for new vehicles in support of SQDCME objectives
  • Support minor launch and current production programs
  • Design and Develop Paint Tooling for new vehicles
  • Provide paint expertise to other Subsystems including Product Development, Assembly Plants and Paint Forward Model
  • Perform Assembly Plant Health Assessments with resolution follow up including monitoring QOS/Control Plan items
  • Utilize DMAIC work methods to improve cost/quality of vehicle lines
  • Work with Assembly Plants to improve cost/quality
  • Manage GSPAS processes and all MCR/CR actions
  • Implement robust designs per Paint SDS/MDS and Lessons Learned
