The Paint Helper at Johnson Thermal Systems, Inc. is responsible for assisting the paint department with various tasks related to commercial paint projects. This role involves preparation, application, and cleanup of painting tasks under the supervision of more experienced staff, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Assist with the execution of painting under the supervision of more experienced staff
Perform basic paint skills such as masking, application, scraping, sanding, and cleaning
Ensure each building is sealed and weatherproof
Examine painted surfaces for defects and help touch up or correct imperfections as needed
Maintain tools and equipment while keeping a clean workspace
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including proper use of PPE
Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)
Reliable attendance and respectful behavior at work
Ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving or holding in one position
Effective communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels
Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds
Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring stooping, kneeling, or crouching throughout an 8-to-10-hour day
Prioritize safety and quality in production tasks
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.
