About The Position

Paint Assistants support the painting operations for aircraft components and structures, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepared and finished to meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
Previous experience in an aerospace, automotive, or industrial painting environment.
Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and coatings used in the aerospace industry.
Experience with spray painting equipment and techniques.
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
Professional verbal and written communication skills (English).

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and manufacturer's instructions.
Perform test such as viscosity on mixed paints.
Print and maintain pot life stickers for each paint mixed.
Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
Assist in moving and arranging materials and equipment.
Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings by performing surface preparation tasks meticulously.
Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
Anticipate the painters' needs and perform all necessary duties to ensure they can remain in the paint booth.
Performs other duties as assigned
Regular attendance on-site at the work site is required
