Job Responsibilities: Starting Payrate $27.85 per hour Continental Schedule will start at 5:15 am, A1 or A2 Job Responsibilities: (This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their manager.) 1. Adhere to all EPA, MoDNR and OSHA regulations. 2. Maintain wastewater compliance with city codes. 3. Comply with Environmental Management System per ISO-14001 requirements. 4. Troubleshoot problems of mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic nature. 5. Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion. 6. Able to read and interpret equipment instructions, diagrams, schematics, and mechanical prints. 7. Able to read and interpret customer specs pertaining to power-coating requirements. 8. Able to fabricate assemblies such as guards, racks, etc. 9. Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory. 10. Manages and maintains chemical levels in tanks based on data received from titrations, conductivity, pH concentration readings, parts appearance, and appearance of liquid in tanks. 11. Measures pH, conductivity, and titration levels in tanks. 12. Responsible for all record keeping of pH findings, concentrations, quantity of chemicals used and any unusual chemical related findings. 13. May use sampling, testing, and measuring techniques, and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine water pollution levels. 14. May periodically inspect equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance work. 15. May maintain records pertinent to special sampling projects performed in conjunction with governmental agencies and private institutions. 16. Work with Paint Engineer(s) on projects and required daily tasks. 17. Ability to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of testing and measuring instruments. 18. Analyzes processes in respective areas and recommends improvements in quality and productivity. 19. Perform minor equipment repairs which do not require extensive technical knowledge or outside expertise to include repair of pumps, valves and piping in wastewater and paint system treatment. 20. Responsible for cleaning and preventive maintenance activities including spare parts, tooling, etc. to ensure optimal operation of all systems. 21. Operate forklift, high lift and all maintenance department equipment. 22. Ensure timely startup and operation of the paint line to defined production levels; monitor equipment and setting to maintain proper operation of cleaning, pre-treatment, paint, cure, and wastewater treatment systems to meet production, safety, and housekeeping goals. 23. Verify proper operation of the paint line by performing required laboratory, visual, and physical inspection and monitoring activities of both process and product for paint systems. 24. Train and/or assist training other paint technicians to successfully operate and maintain the system in accordance with this job description and company policies. 25. Lead or assist in developing, implementing, and updating written operations procedures and inspection standards for all paint systems. 26. Solve and/or assist in solving production, quality, health, safety, and environmental problems to ensure optimal production efficiency. 27. Communicate with maintenance manager and maintenance area/shift leaders and other plant personnel about maintenance and quality concerns, providing complete action plans and status reports as and when required. 28. Work with production and other departments on basic troubleshooting and corrections for everyday issues. 29. Attend daily pre-shift meetings and carry out assigned workloads as directed by shift/area leaders. 30. Conduct shifts carry over with other employees and communicate issues. 31. Control chemical inventory and ordering for all paint systems to ensure maximum productivity, quality, health, safety and environmental outcomes and minimum cost. 32. Control paint inventory and ordering of all paint stock as needed. 33. Produce timely, neat, and accurate reports documenting paint and wastewater treatment system performance. 34. Conduct equipment calibration and verification; maintain necessary documentation. 35. Safely use equipment and chemicals required for pre-treatment/paint testing. 36. Encourage safety and good housekeeping practices and lead by example, including wearing specified personal protective equipment. 37. Attend training as required. 38. Operating computer and software is necessary to monitor system parameters. 39. Promote and facilitate Open Door process, effective communication. and Fair Treatment. 40. To work in a safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled. 41. Participate in Continual Improvement activities. 42. Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System, and company policies. 43. Maintain punctuality and outstanding attendance record. 44. May be required to adjust shifts as necessary. 49. Perform other duties as assigned.
