About The Position

The Nuvance Health Medical Practice Division of Pain Management has an excellent opportunity for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Global management of patients with pain conditions Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with pain conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Utilize various modalities for pain relief, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies. Educate patients and families about pain management options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications to improve quality of life. Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations. M-F position Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a brand new 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, recently adding Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult).
  • Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
  • New graduates will be considered
