About The Position

The Undergraduate Internship at Mayo Clinic is designed to provide students with relevant field experiences in their chosen area of study. Interns will be assigned mentors for guidance and performance assessment while observing the functions of their assigned work unit. The internship includes selected work assignments to enhance learning and contribute to the work unit, with completion of all related assignments and reports required. This internship does not offer financial assistance for relocation, housing, or transportation.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a degree program from a college or university.
• Typically, the internship occurs after most courses required by the degree program have been completed.
• Must have authorization to work and remain in the United States without the need for Mayo Clinic sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Observe the functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
• Complete selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience.
• Assess performance levels and provide benefit to the work unit.
• Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for Mayo and the educational facility.
