About The Position

Our mission to make the world better by helping older adults remain in the comfort of home. If you are currently living with and caring for a loved one who is elderly or disabled, you may qualify to earn more than $2,600/month (tax-free) through the Charter Oak Home Care AFL program. We are hiring live-in family caregivers who meet strict state eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• Care recipient must be 65 years or older
• Care recipient must have active Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health)
• Care recipient must live in a private home (not a facility or group setting)
• Care recipient must live full-time in the same home as the caregiver
• Caregiver must be 18 years of age or older
• Caregiver must live full-time with the care recipient in the same household
• Caregiver must not be the recipient’s spouse
• Caregiver must pass a criminal background check
• Caregiver must be capable of providing daily care

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Meal preparation and feeding support
• Light housekeeping and medication reminders
• Provide companionship and emotional care
• Work with Charter Oak Home Care nurses and care coordinators for regular monthly visits
