Page Six is looking for a bold, sharp, and pop culture-obsessed Reporter/Editor (Tues-Sat) who lives and breathes celebrity news. This is your chance to join the authority in entertainment gossip and help drive the conversations everyone will be talking about tomorrow. You'll pitch, write, and edit buzzy stories with speed, accuracy, and unmistakable voice. We want someone who's always one step ahead-plugged into social media trends, fluent in fan culture, and relentless in uncovering the scoops that make Page Six sizzle. You'll also help shape coverage by editing and polishing stories to ensure they meet our high bar for tone, timeliness, and impact. If you thrive in a fast-paced newsroom, know your way around SEO and analytics, and can spot a viral moment before it breaks, we want to hear from you. Let's make headlines. _Note: The schedule for this role is Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11pm EST. Open to candidates based in both New York City and Los Angeles._

Requirements

  • Five to seven years of major journalism experience
  • Exceptional editing, writing and reporting skills
  • Deep understanding of celebrities and trending entertainment topics
  • Strong news judgment and ability to craft enticing, SEO-optimized headlines
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and social trends
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced online news environment
  • Experience using content management systems and web analytics tools
  • Flexibility in covering holidays, live pop culture events (i.e. Oscars, Super Bowl, etc.) and working outside business hours when needed

Responsibilities

  • Assign and edit multiple stories per day from a team of writers and reporters
  • Write daily SEO-optimized news stories with speed, efficiency and clean copy
  • Think strategically about the daily entertainment news cycle and pitch stories to move topics forward
  • Be a self-starter and feel confident in making decisions and working independently, particularly at night
  • Use traffic analytics (Google Analytics, Parse.ly, etc.) to help guide coverage and determine successes
  • Think quickly on their feet and operate efficiently in breaking news situations
  • Work with social, video, photo, and other departments seamlessly to enhance news coverage
