About The Position

We are seeking a PAD Mobile Supervisor to join our team at our program in the Philadelphia, PA - Kensington location. This posting is for first shift Monday - Friday 7:00a - 3:00p, with rotating on-call weekends! Earn up to mid-60s annually! Position Details Under the supervision of the PAD Program Director, the Mobile Supervisor will provide supervision and oversight of the Police Assisted Diversion Program that works in tandem with the Philadelphia Police Department. This role is responsible for oversight in providing resource connection for anyone referred by the Philadelphia Police department PAD program. This population will consist of both Arrest diversion and non-arrest referrals. Managers will focus efforts on connecting individuals to services in real time, coordinating care with outside providers, and providing real time resources such as transportation when appropriate. Additional responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in social services, with a strong preference for experience in substance use treatment or co-occurring disorders.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all staff connected to the program on multiple shifts and locations
  • Assist with the development of a warm handoff process with Emergency Rooms, shelters, safe havens, and any other facility that one of the individuals we serve may need to receive services
  • Continuously cultivate partnerships with any other relevant stakeholders to insure a smooth workflow
  • Help the team understand performance targets and goals
  • Patrol and dispatch for various quality-of-life emergency calls (i.e. possible overdose, welfare checks, disorderly conduct, etc.) or other non-violent low-level mental health or behavioral health calls with Philadelphia Police officers
  • Perform basic referral functions (complete shelter referral, call to obtain an outpatient appointment)
  • Partner on outreach with Philadelphia Police Department and other city agency
  • Engage clients in the community as a part of the mobile team
  • Always maintain situational awareness and use de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm and welcoming environment
  • Conduct individual interventions as needed
  • Offer a non-judgmental forum for listening and providing empathy for the struggles of consumers
  • Use personal experiences to develop meaningful and trusting relationships with participants
  • Inform consumers about community and natural supports and how to utilize these in the recovery process
  • Incident Reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting to immediate supervisor and following procedures
  • Participate in all staff meetings and required trainings
