About The Position
The Surgery Center of Charleston , part of Charleston ENT & Allergy , is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join our growing ambulatory surgery center. We are committed to delivering the highest quality outpatient surgical care to the Lowcountry—and we want you to be part of it. What You’ll Do As a PACU RN, you'll play a critical role in ensuring safe, smooth, and patient-focused post-surgical recovery.
Requirements
- Active RN license (South Carolina or compact state)
- Previous PACU, critical care, or surgical nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A team player with a passion for patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, individualized care in the immediate post-anesthesia period
- Assessing and monitoring patients’ physical and emotional status
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthetists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Managing inventory and maintaining a clean, efficient recovery area
- Educating patients and families for safe discharge and at-home care
- Upholding the highest standards of nursing practice
