The University of Louisville Hospital is hiring for its PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) RN Training Program, which is a paid educational program designed for registered nurses to transition into professional nursing practice. This program is open to both new graduates and experienced RNs. The next cohort will start on June 9th, 2025, and the program will last for eight months. It includes immersive observation experiences, competency-based classes, and specialized peri-anesthesia eLearning and simulation. Participants will work alongside trained preceptors and a transition to practice nurse educator, gaining valuable experience in various levels of care, including critical care and medical-surgical nursing. After successful completion of the program, participants will be offered full-time positions, with shifts rotating throughout the training period. PACU nurse positions will require weekend and holiday rotations and on-call duties after the training program.
