As a Pre-Op/PACU RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and safe surgical experience for our patients. Your expertise will help provide the highest level of care, from preparing patients for surgery to monitoring recovery in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Requirements

Active Oklahoma RN License (or eligibility)
BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
ACLS/PALS Certification (training provided if needed)
Strong nursing judgment – Ability to make quick, informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills – Verbal & written proficiency.
Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery according to hospital policies & procedures.
Assess and document patient history, vitals, and medication administration.
Monitor patients for anesthesia interactions, side effects, and expected outcomes.
Quickly and efficiently respond to emergency situations using ACLS, PALS, and hospital protocols.
Maintain accurate & up-to-date documentation in Cerner.
Ensure all admission requirements are met before surgery.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
Provide compassionate patient & family education regarding the surgical process.
