About The Position

Mission Hospital McDowell is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse PRN to join our team. This position requires a commitment of one weekend a month, with holiday commitments to be determined by the department. The PACU Registered Nurse will provide leadership and facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. The role involves utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families. The nurse will implement medically prescribed interventions and ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• One year of PACU and/or Surgical Services RN experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a requirement to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Certificates in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Nice To Haves

• Masters in Nursing.
• National Certification in area of specialty.
