About The Position

Envision Radiology is looking for a Full Time PACS Imaging Administrator to join our team! This role is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The PACS Imaging Administrator will work to triage help desk tickets to provide Tier 3 support of all problems, failures and outages affecting the corporate PACS and/or voice recognition system. This position will coordinate upgrades and updates with all users and vendors. This position will be critical to the success of PACS and Imaging projects within the department including, but not limited to HL7, HIE, EMR's, etc. This position will be responsible for a proactive approach to imaging management for our clients.

Requirements

  • Four plus years' of related experience in line management and healthcare project management in a large radiology practice.
  • Working knowledge of specific radiology applications such as RIS and PACS required.
  • Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related healthcare discipline or Information Systems or equivalent education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including: image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, image validation and other related activities.
  • Collaborates with Leadership, PACS Imaging Manager and other Department Managers to identify future needs and assists with the development of efficient workflow processes.
  • Troubleshoots connectivity and workflow issues throughout all phases of the radiology imaging lifecycle.
  • Oversees and coordinates strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives.
  • Assists with implementation and planning activities related to new center builds, acquisitions and modifications.
  • Investigates, identifies, and prepares proposals to solve specific imaging-related operational problems company-wide.
  • Works closely with PACS Imaging Manager to proactively coordinate upgrades and planning for medical imaging initiatives.
  • Assists with HL7 interface creation, triage, maintenance and support.
  • Oversees activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new imaging systems.
  • Reviews feedback from end users and compiles and analyzes support data.
  • Participates in budget preparation and regular monitoring of the operation budget.
  • Works closely with IT in the development of PACS policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
