POSITION SUMMARY: The PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) Applications Analyst II is a business specialist and technology generalist responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies. The PACS Applications Analyst II is responsible for proactively identifying opportunities to apply technologies to business processes by informing and advising customers on information system technologies' functionality, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements. The PACS Applications Analyst II functions as technical liaison and broker of services with various vendors. The PACS Applications Analyst II must develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with both customer management and IT personnel. The PACS Applications Analyst II must demonstrate an understanding of business problems, as well as IT strategies, issues, and priorities. This position requires forward-thinking individuals who seek opportunities to apply technology to improving business processes within strategic system goals. Additionally, the PACS Applications Analyst II will be responsible for the design, build, installation, integration, data migration, testing, support, and core functions for several imaging IT systems. The PACS Applications Analyst II is also responsible for maintaining operations and systems upgrades to the PACS, as well as the system archive and workstations throughout the BMC systems. Other responsibilities including monitors software and hardware related issues, to include disk space allocation, device configuration, and back-up system; assesses department needs; troubleshoots hardware and software problems. The PACS Applications Analyst II will be responsible for working closely with clinical staff and analysts in workflow optimization, issue resolution, and system implementations and upgrades. Provides end-user training, as needed. Fosters and cultivates physician and vendor relationships and develops policies for imaging applications. May need to travel between campuses and community partners to perform duties. Participates in rotating on-call support. System Administration: Proficiently manage and maintain Sectra IDS7 PACs, Powerscribe, LifeIMAGE, Powershare, MIM, Xeleris, Terarecon, Intelispace, GE AW, DICOM Routers,DICOM Systems, Candelis, DATQuant, Hologic, and other radiology-related systems. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with radiology systems promptly to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and optimizations. Integration and Configuration: Implement and configure DICOM Modality setups, ensuring seamless communication and compatibility between various radiological devices and systems. Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other staff to understand system needs. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize system utilization and efficiency. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and compliance standards. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements. Additional experience desired: Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change. Experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business. Experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
