Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, and prefetching and other related activities. Works closely with MIS department to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system as well as network transmission, Epic Radiant validation, and exceptions handling. Administer, configure, and maintain PACS, RIS, (Epic Radiant) and related imaging applications Provide Tier 2–3 technical support for PACS-related issues, including connectivity, performance, and access problems Troubleshoot DICOM, HL7, and interface issues between imaging modalities, PACS, EPIC, and third-party systems Monitor system performance, storage utilization, and server health; escalate issues to MIS department as needed Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and downtime with vendors and internal IT teams Support disaster recovery planning, backups, and system redundancy for imaging systems Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and change management records Work closely with network, server, cybersecurity, and database teams to ensure system stability Assist with testing and implementation of new imaging software, integrations, and workflows
