Join our growing team and help drive the future SUMMARY Reporting to the Clinical IT Manager, the PACS Administrator provides operational management of imaging informatics platforms to support local facility operations. The PACS Administrator is responsible for data management and integrity of Radiology PACS systems, including worklist management, data reconciliation, and performance monitoring of PACS components to support 24/7 Radiology operations. The Administrator also maintains system workflows and standards that align with the company’s healthcare management guidelines in Northern California. This is a 100% in-office position, and applicants must reside in California.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PACS platforms such as Intelerad, Philips IntelliSpace, McKesson, Sectra, Visage, or GE Centricity.
  • Certification from the PACS Administrators Registry and Certification Association (PARCA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate experience in computer and information systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Develop and write action plans for project implementation and long-term system planning.
  • Plan, install, test, and provide operational support for digital imaging (PACS) and related ancillary systems, including operating systems, networking, software, and system administration to support radiology operations.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to provide technical support.
  • Provide guidance and support for Help Desk staff and Clinical Application Specialists as needed.
  • Support the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard as it relates to system operations.
  • Apply knowledge of the HL7 standard for exchanging, integrating, sharing, and retrieving electronic health information, particularly related to patient registration and reporting in a PACS environment.
  • Analyze and monitor system performance and make proactive recommendations to improve performance and stability.
  • Collaborate with departments across the company and with hospital IT and Imaging teams on planning, installation, execution, maintenance, and support of PACS-related projects.
  • Implement and administer policies and procedures related to PACS system goals and objectives.
  • Establish and communicate workflow changes and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with standard practices.
  • Perform audits, gather statistics, and prepare reports for management and quality improvement initiatives within Radiology systems.
  • Remotely troubleshoot and repair PACS software-related issues for assigned facilities, ensuring timely resolution and minimal system downtime.
  • Maintain data integrity and manage quality assurance (QA) and local PACS reconciliations.
  • Provide local system support and user training for processes, software upgrades, and peripheral installations in alignment with regional guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance continuously, making proactive recommendations to enhance reliability and efficiency.
