About The Position

The Bagger Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring bagging equipment to ensure fresh product is accurately packaged, sealed, and prepared for downstream processing. This position supports continuous product flow while maintaining quality, food safety, and compliance with Tyson policies and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • MUST have documented within your application and/or uploaded resume -3 months of manufacturing/industrial work history within the past 12 months.
  • MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
  • MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to safety and food safety standards
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift and handle packaging materials as required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant
  • Must be available to work assigned shifts
  • Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: Prior machine operation or food production experience preferred
  • Experience operating bagging or packaging equipment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bagging machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure proper bag placement, sealing, labeling, and weight accuracy
  • Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or product backlog
  • Make minor machine adjustments to optimize performance and product quality
  • Monitor product for quality defects and report issues to supervision
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical issues promptly
  • Clear jams and restart equipment safely following lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when required
  • Verify packaging materials meet specifications and are available at the line
  • Complete required production, quality, and downtime documentation accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bagging area
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies
  • Work closely with other production team members to meet production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
