About The Position

The Packout Associate III position at Ascend Performance Materials involves executing pack out operations in the Pensacola warehouse. The role requires strong knowledge of warehouse processes, product lines, and production systems, with a focus on improving efficiency and maintaining safety standards. The associate will work closely with shipping and quality assurance teams to manage direct shipments and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years equivalent experience in warehouse/logistics experience
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • SAP experience required in IM, WM, SD & MM modules
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and able to multi-task
  • Excellent technical, troubleshooting, auditing, and problem-solving skills
  • Action oriented with an inclination towards taking initiative
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to keep accurate records
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, have a positive attitude and be customer focused
  • Must be able to multi-task and react quickly to changes in business requirements
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently
  • Forklift experience required
  • Must be able to lift 50-75lbs
  • Strong knowledge of pack out and plant layout, product lines, production systems, and SAP knowledge is desired
  • Effective communication skills needed
  • Must be able to interact with Production, Customer Service, Transportation & Distribution, and production scheduling teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Direct Shipments out of pack-out areas with Shipping and QA.
  • Monitor and fix issues with production bin using accounting reports.
  • Reduce resampling by actively working with QA Department and area Coordinators/Leads.
  • Monitor pack-out schedule and track variances from schedule to reduce missed shipments.
  • Assist in updating and approving area SPI's, Tests, and Check Sheets.
  • Issue and monitor pack-out RTP's.
  • Monitor damage in all pack-out areas and coordinate repairs.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment downtime & process upsets utilizing Maintenance Shift Reports.
  • Enter area maintenance tickets and track maintenance through the 'Maintenance Log'.
  • Complete CBT Training and participate in PVA Audits.
  • Participate and lead A2E projects.
  • Participate in and lead Housekeeping Inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO certification.
  • Ensure that area is being maintained and operated safely.
  • Assist with pump-outs and non-routine boxing as needed.
  • Serve as back-up to Team Lead and Coordinator as needed.
  • Improve area efficiency.
  • Improve area housekeeping and 5S implementation.
  • Monitor and record area production data.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and legible records.
  • Follow standard processes, solve problems, and deal with ambiguity when needed.
  • Provide added support to the Ascend Team Leader as needed.
