About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Packing Specialist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately packing medications and healthcare products for distribution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Set Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am-7:00pm

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a packing, pharmacy, or similar role preferred.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Pack the medication orders according to procedures in preparation for shipping and obtain pharmacist check.
• Responsible for proper packing, sealing and labeling of drug order in preparation for shipping.
• Pack the order following any special packing/shipping instructions. (i.e. Refrigerated, etc.)
• Scan all prescriptions, paperwork, and labels and put the medications into tamper proof bags before sealing the package.
• Process address label and affix on proper package.
• Monitor and maintain proper level of packing and shipping materials at the workstations and return any unused medication to the appropriate area in the pharmacy.
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
• Perform quality check to ensure that the correct medication order is being sent to the correct patient.
• Organize packages according to courier (Fedex, UPS, US Mail) for efficient pick up of orders.
