About The Position

Packing General Help will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient assembly and packaging of products. The primary focus will be on placing the correct number of products from the assembly line onto trays or into cases, contributing to the overall quality and success of our production process.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy wheeled equipment or carts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and crouch to access equipment, tools, or materials.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or operate machinery, tools, or controls
• Ability to perceive and respond immediately to visual and audible safety alerts and warnings to ensure the safety of self and others in a fast-paced, hazard-sensitive environment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles, odors, and fumes.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or work platforms as required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Verify the proper codes on bags and/or cases, ensuring legibility and accuracy.
• Check and ensure the proper packaging materials are consistently used.
• Stack trays of bread 16 trays high.
• Regularly inspect package seals to maintain quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with Machine Operators, Lead Persons, and Packaging Supervisors to address any issues promptly.
• Removing products from the line and placing them on appropriate racks/trays during machine stoppages.
• Performing quality inspections as directed by Supervisors or Lead Persons.
• Promoting safety practices across all areas of operations.
• Upholding cleanliness standards in the work area.
• Always Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.'s).
