About The Position

The position involves performing traffic management cargo handling duties, operating general and special purpose vehicles, materials handling equipment, and cranes. The role includes transporting, handling, and processing cargo for various transportation modes, ensuring compliance with USAF mandatory requirements, and adhering to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience supervising a diverse international workforce is desired.
  • Previous experience in logistics/shipping field preferred but not required.
  • Must have organizational skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a beginner level.
  • Familiarity with Supply, TMO, and air cargo documentation is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.
  • Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares freight offered for shipment including packing, crating, weighing, marking, labeling, and documenting cargo.
  • Ensures hazardous materials are properly inspected, documented, and certified.
  • Handles cargo in accordance with all prescribed regulations, instructions, technical orders, and procedures.
  • Prepares all required shipping documents for cargo offered for transportation and maintains a TCN log.
  • Assists in maintaining WRM and operational stock levels of all 463L assets.
  • Loads/offloads all 463L pallets, containers, and trucks in a timely manner.
  • Inventories and inspects all incoming freight for damage prior to acceptance and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Documents and loads outbound freight into containers and/or loads cargo onto trucks.
  • Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE), wide body loaders, and cranes to load/offload trucks, containers, and pallets.
  • Safely transports explosives from storage facilities to flight line explosive parking marshaling areas.
  • Maintains publications, forms, and files required for traffic management and air terminal operations.
  • May operate computers, printers, and fax machines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
