About The Position

Gotham Greens is seeking a passionate and hardworking individual to join as a Machine Operator in their Packhouse. This role involves hands-on work in a manual labor-intensive environment, focusing on the operation and maintenance of packaging machinery. Requirements

• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
• Maintain a steady pace with attention to detail.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Open availability to work various schedules including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to work in 55 degree temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the natural and organic food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shutdown of Denester, Scales, Tray Sealer, Metal Detector, Check Weigher, and Labeler.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of all unit operations in the packaging line.
• Complete all Operator GFSI tasks and documentation.
• Give direction to Production Assistants working on the Multivac line.
• Minimize downtime during breakdowns and changeovers.
• Track line KPIs such as Startup time, Ramp up time, and Quality Rejects.
• Change film, labels, and ribbons as needed.
• Perform standard Packhouse Production Assistant duties as required.
• Stock raw materials after shutdown and as needed.
• Conduct basic sanitation tasks to keep equipment clean and operational.
• Communicate clearly and operate the line with a sense of urgency.
