About The Position
At Church Hill Classics, we’ve proudly handcrafted over two million custom diploma frames, certificate frames, varsity letter frames, and award frames since 1991. Based in Monroe, CT, our female-owned company remains a U.S. leader in premium custom framing—trusted by over 1,500 colleges and universities, honor societies, the U.S. Military, and professional associations. We’re looking for temporary, seasonal help in our packing department to assist us in packing custom frames during our peak season. The ideal candidate will pride themselves on accuracy and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that every order is prepared for timely delivery, supporting customer satisfaction and smooth warehouse operations throughout the graduating season. This is currently a temporary role lasting to June. However, there may be potential to either extend the temporary assignment or convert to a permanent position in the event the temporary employee demonstrates outstanding reliability, accuracy, and productivity, as well as if the business determines additional headcount is needed in this area after the conclusion of the temporary assignment.
Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching with hands and arms
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating tools, or using machinery
- Must be able to lift or move up to 90 pounds as needed
- Visual acuity required for detailed inspection and screen-based work
- Must be able to see, hear, and respond to safety signals and equipment sounds
- Verbal communication is required for meetings, team coordination, and safety protocols
- Work is performed in a warehouse or production environment with exposure to dust, loud noises, and occasional chemical substances
- Primarily an indoor role, with environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing or distribution setting
Responsibilities
- Confirm product to be packed matches the specifications on the work order.
- Follow packing procedures to correctly label, package, and stage products for shipment.
- Assist with folding and staging boxes for packing.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace through regular cleanup.
- Follows all standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
