Manually packages materials and products accurately and in a timely manner. Assembles cartons and packs products for shipment through the mail. Inserts product into containers and fills containers with protective packing material from chute/dispenser. Unloads product buggy and distributes product crates to packing tables. Lifts packed products from packing table and places them onto conveyor. Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process. Records information such as date packaged, initials of packer, and any special shipping instructions. Participates in physical inventories and prep work needed in production areas. Assists in culturing product as needed. Drives Company vehicle to collect live materials as needed. Operates forklift to move product from one location to another as needed. Assist with planting and harvesting genetic corn during summer months The Live Biology Group has seasonal variation in labor needs. As a result, employees are expected to help in other areas as needed. Live Biology is a living materials, laboratory, and manufacturing facility. Employees may be asked to work with living materials, do outside field or collecting work, and help in various laboratory work areas. Training and PPE will be provided as needed. Some evening, holiday, and weekend work will be required as needed, including organism care on occasional Sundays and on-call after hour/weekend/holidays for medicinal leeches up to 2-3 weeks per year.
