About The Position
Are you looking for a stable, long-term career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking detail-oriented Packers to join a premier food production team in Ponder. This is a temp-to-hire role with a clear path to permanent employment, complete with a full benefits package upon conversion. Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour Shift Options: 1st Shift (Weekends required) Flexibility: Candidates must be open to overtime and have "somewhat flexible" availability to meet production needs. As a Packer, you are the final line of quality control before our products reach the customer.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Language: Must be proficient in English.
- Attendance: Strong reliability and a history of good attendance are non-negotiable.
- Compliance: Must pass a public data background check (Note: Assault convictions are a disqualifier).
- Due to food safety regulations, employees must adhere to a strict dress code: No jewelry, piercings, or earrings. No fake lashes or fake nails (Gel, Acrylic, or Dip). No shorts, torn jeans, tank tops, or flip-flops.
- Steel-toe boots are required.
- Climate-Controlled (Cold/Heat): You will be working in an indoor environment that involves exposure to varying temperatures typical of food manufacturing.
- Physical Activity: This role requires standing for long periods, bending, twisting, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
- Safety First: Strict compliance with safety protocols is mandatory. You must be able to hear alarms and safety warnings clearly.
Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection: Carefully checking packages for foreign objects, damage, or open seals.
- Product Identification: Memorizing specific product codes to ensure accurate sorting and labeling.
- Label Accuracy: Verifying that all labels match the product and meet company standards.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with your production team to maintain a steady workflow.
