About The Position

The Packer position plays a key role in supporting multiple manufacturing areas, including injection molding, IML, quality, and assembly. This role is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Packers visually inspect products, prepare and assemble boxes, palletize goods, and document daily production results. The position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to 5S housekeeping principles, and communication with shift leaders and technical staff when production concerns arise. Packers also contribute to training new employees and upholding company policies such as ISO standards, safety requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a physically demanding role involving frequent lifting, standing, and repetitive movements during a 12‑hour shift. Strong attendance, teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills are essential for success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Basic math, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in assembly, hand packing, and visual inspection.
  • Experience working in a production environment with extended standing periods.
  • Experience performing visual quality inspections on products.
  • Familiarity with safety practices, quality expectations, and working within structured processes.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and package finished goods according to customer specifications, including boxing and palletizing.
  • Prepare and maintain packaging materials, ensuring correct quantities of boxes and supplies at all work centers.
  • Monitor product quality, identify deviations, compare to comparators, and pull product when necessary.
  • Document daily production data, including counts, scrap, and scrap reasons.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in alignment with 5S principles, including routine housekeeping tasks.

  • Communicate production issues—such as machine stoppages or repeated defects—to shift leaders or technical staff.
  • Follow company policies and standards, including ISO requirements, safety expectations, continuous improvement, and standard work procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to help maintain a safe working environment.
  • Adapt to changing work assignments and contribute effectively within the team.
