About The Position
The Packer Stock Clerk position at Ashcroft Inc. involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the stocking and preparation of finished goods for shipment. In this position, the Packer Stock Clerk will be responsible for stocking finished goods in their proper locations within the stock area. This includes accumulating orders based on specific order numbers and preparing items for shipment. The clerk will assess cartons to ensure they have the proper postage and will separate shipments that are to be sent via common carrier. Additionally, the role requires checking outgoing freight to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping standards. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is preparing work orders for special boxes, which must be signed by others. The clerk will also be responsible for preparing requisitions for materials as needed, again requiring signatures from authorized personnel. This position is integral to the manufacturing process, ensuring that products are ready for distribution in a timely and efficient manner.
