About The Position

We’re looking for a talented Packer Lead to join our leadership team at the High Street facility in Hanover, PA! This is your chance to take your manufacturing experience and leadership skills to the next level while playing a key role in supporting the Production Supervisor on Weekend Nights with daily operations. In this full-time position, you’ll work Friday to Sunday from 5:55 PM-5:55 AM, helping to ensure smooth production processes and maintaining the high-quality standards we’re known for. Responsibilities

  • Assists Packaging Supervisor in leading all production activities and acts as back up in their absence.
  • Maintains a constant line of communication with the supervisor communicating downtime, production difficulties and product overflow.
  • Integral to ERP functionality. Works with plant leadership to resolve discrepancies and address variances.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and utilizes RedZone, 6S Principles and Continuous Improvement.
  • Schedules personnel in an efficient manner in order to meet daily production requirements.
  • Monitors each packaging station every hour checking code dates, price, weight, seal integrity, bag waste and machine efficiency.
  • Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Identifies, organizes and leads projects as requested by plant management.
  • Separates and removes questionable finished product to be reviewed by Shift Manager.
  • Ability to perform the duties of a packer.
  • Assist in overseeing sanitation duties performed in the packaging room.
  • Must undergo training with chemicals used to perform sanitation duties.
  • Monitors daily attendance, evaluates individual performance and trains packaging personnel to ensure standards are met.
  • Responsible to follow safety rules, work safely at all times and report unsafe equipment and practices.
  • Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
