About The Position

Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, taping, packing, or wrapping containers by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to work in all positions on the packaging side as a Packer 1, including boxing products, labeling, and palletizing. Being able to start and stop packaging machinery and monitors its performance to identify any malfunctions, including the ability to activate conveyors, tape machines, combi, sleeves, and heat tunnels. Report any malfunctions and/or inconveniences to the Team Leaders. Inspects filled containers to ensure that products are packaged according to specifications. Ability to feed products to conveyors or other feeding devices. Demonstrates the ability to stack pallets in accordance with the specified pallet configuration. Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack. Demonstrates the ability to take the proper actions with scrap products, including identifying and handling items such as expired, flammable, or other potentially hazardous materials in accordance with established procedures. Replenishes packaging supplies as needed and communicates with Team Leads if any raw materials are needed for the production line. Ensures accurate printing of Lot Numbers, Expiration Dates, and other relevant information on materials for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging containers. Assist other teammates helping when needed while showcasing a strong teamwork mindset. Inspires workers with a positive attitude to increase production quantity while upholding high production standards, encouraging a motivated and productive work environment. Maintains cleanliness in their designated area throughout and at the end of the shift. Should shadow and learn from a Packer ll Must be able to fill in for an absent Packer ll if needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Up to six months of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment is a plus.
  • Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to understand and use units of measurement (weight, volume, distance).
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
