About The Position

Volante Farms in Needham, MA is a place for all seasons. As a fourth-generation family run farm, farm stand, and garden center it has over one hundred years in the community- specializing in homegrown and locally grown produce, ornamental and vegetable plants and seasonal decorations. More recently, several new departments were added as part of a large renovation. These include a locally sourced grocery department, butcher shop, ice cream stand and a still growing food service component including a deli, bakery, coffee shop, and two kitchens preparing food for retail sales; soups, salads, and sandwiches; catering for businesses and family events; pastries and desserts. We are looking for a Packer/Food Prep Associate to join our growing team! We are looking to hire for this position ASAP. Apply today!

Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Must be at least 16 years of age

Responsibilities

• Follows packaging guidelines set by departments
• Cut, package, stock, rotate food as assigned by departments
• Ensures product is labeled correctly and priced according to standard
• Makes sure packaged food case is fully stocked and rotated
• Makes sure expired product is removed from the packaged food case
• Utilizes safe food handling practices when handling products appropriately, eliminating any chance for allergy contamination
