This position involves assisting with various processes related to the packaging of dietary supplements. Responsibilities include set-up, bottle filling, cotton and desiccant insertion, capping, labeling, and packing of filled bottles. The role requires adherence to food safety and quality guidelines, as well as cGMP requirements as per NSF and FDA standards. Documentation for batch processing must be completed according to good documentation practices, and sanitation and cleaning activities must be performed as per established procedures.

  • Assist with plant sanitation, including sweeping, washing, and emptying waste containers.
  • Operate packaging equipment such as TC3 and Fairchild tablet counter/fillers, cotton and desiccant insertion equipment, bottle cappers, and CVC labelers.
  • Meet all safety expectations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe practices.
  • Complete all documentation required for packaging in a cGMP compliant manner, including packaging batch records, box labels, room and equipment cleaning logbooks, and in-process documentation.
  • Work in a team environment and assist others as required.
  • Clean all equipment using current sanitation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Follow instructions, including standard packaging procedures and processes.
  • Work on a production line, following all standard operating procedures (SOP) for set-up, cotton, capper, sleever, sanitation, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, GMPs, Code of Safe Practices, and SOPs at all times.
  • Handle product, materials, supplies, and equipment physically.
  • Take direction from the Pkg. Machine Operator I, Pkg. Machine Operator II, and Team Lead/Tech as required.
  • Fill in for other positions as needed.
  • 0-1 year of experience working with equipment or in a packaging environment, or equivalent.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to noise and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read and write legibly in English.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules including weekends and overtime.
  • Basic math skills.
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, preferred.
  • Knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management.
