About The Position

Mars Horsecare- Dalton, OH is looking for a Packaging Utility Operator! This position is responsible for running the Inline Bagger while cross-training on the Pellet Bagger and other production positions. This position supports safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing, while maintaining flexibility to assist across the site.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a mechanical related role.
• Basic computer skills (Ex: MS Office).
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs).
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours.
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions.
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree or certification in related field.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Packaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Inline Bagger and ensure safe, efficient, and quality production.
• Cross-train and provide coverage on the Pellet Bagger and other operator roles as assigned.
• Follow all Quality and Food Safety standards.
• Consistently adhere to and promote all safety practices, procedures, and training requirements.
• Support team needs by assisting with additional tasks, including sanitation and preventive maintenance projects, when directed.
• Develop and maintain a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
