To ensure the shipments meet Plant order requirements and are loaded per load securement policies. That the correct product is packaged following plant instructions. To operate bulk bag system, ensure that bag weights are in range and warehouse product as produced. Packaging Plant Utility Operator reports to the Packaging Complex Production Supervisor.Principal Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Mandatory Minimum Standards Required, within his/her sphere of influence. This may or may not include compliance with any air permits, wastewater permits, storm water permits, or other rules as presented to the employee as requirements. Potentially Significant EH&S Impact(s): In charge of monitoring their equipment for visible emissions, shutting down equipment with visible emissions and reporting emissions to their area coordinator. Deal with petroleum spills properly. Operates, monitors bulk sack/bag systems, and keeps sack/bag weights are in spec. Manual stacking may be needed occasionally to fix a damaged or poorly stacked pallet. Follows FSMA guidelines in the daily production of product. Keeps palletizer supplied with pallets, dividers, and other needed supplies. Warehouses finished product making sure they are put away in designated rows. Inspects trucks and loads them following the plant procedures. Fills out paperwork such as work orders, sample tags, forklift inspection reports, etc. Stencils product with customer information, lot numbers and material identification, repalletizes product, dumps nonconforming product. Keeps work area, warehouse and outside of plant in a neat and safe condition using good housekeeping. Help with preventive maintenance and downtime maintenance repairs. Employees must learn and observe all applicable company policies and safe practices and perform all duties assigned by the production supervisor. Relieves Packaging Plant Operator when needed or when directed. Knowledgeable of the ISO quality system as required to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard. Follows FSMA guidelines in the daily production of product. Inspects Van trucks both FSMA and non-FSMA before loading them by following the plant instructions and procedures in place. When you are needed to help load trucks, we need to make sure we are filling out paperwork that corresponds with that load. This includes and is not limited to the load sheets making sure they are filled out correctly, lot #'s of pallets, etc. Making sure that we have loaded the right line of the order is a must. Also making sure pallets are neat and undamaged. Notifies Production Supervisor of any problems that will or may impact a confirmed finished product customer ship date Send samples to lab to ensure compliance with quality control specifications are meet and label pallet accordingly: Green tag for good / Red tag if out of spec. You must use the handheld scanner for bar coding and inventory needs.
