About The Position

The Packaging Utility Operator at JM Huber Corporation is responsible for ensuring that shipments meet plant order requirements and are loaded according to load securement policies. The operator will package the correct product following plant instructions, operate the bulk bag system, ensure bag weights are within range, and warehouse products as produced. This position reports to the Packaging Complex Coordinator and is a 2nd Shift position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be qualified to operate a forklift.
• CDL license preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety policy manuals, MSHA regulations, SOPs, SDS, and various production schedules/reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management Standard requirements.
• Monitor equipment for visible emissions and report emissions to the area coordinator.
• Operate and monitor bagging systems, ensuring bag weights are in specification.
• Service and repair equipment as directed.
• Keep palletizer supplied with pallets, dividers, and other needed supplies.
• Warehouse finished products.
• Inspect trucks and load them following plant instructions.
• Fill out paperwork such as plant orders, sample tags, and forklift inspection reports.
• Stencil products with customer information and repalletize products.
• Maintain a neat and safe work area, warehouse, and outside of the plant.
• Relieve Packaging Plant Operator when needed or directed.
• Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 quality standard and follow FSMA guidelines.
