Why Join Us | DuPont Careers Job Summary: DuPont’s Healthcare Industries Material Site (HIMS) is seeking a Packaging Technician in Hemlock, MI! This position is in the front line of packaging finished goods to prepare for shipment. Our team is looking for a top caliber, technically capable operator who is focused on safety, embrace change, make informed decisions, possess self-confidence and leadership skills and are lifelong learners. Starting wage is between $18 and $21.50 depending on experience. Additional shift premium is also received for working a 12 hour shift. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 or more years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, military, or related role is preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including weekends, holidays and overtime when needed. (Optional straight shifts is obtainable)
- Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willing and able to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
- Willing and able to complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting.
- Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms.
Responsibilities
- Package products for various customers using various packaging materials.
- Complete electronic documentation for the orders you are packaging.
- Safely transport goods via forklift throughout the plant.
- Perform daily tasks using the appropriate computer tools and software.
- Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
