About The Position

We are looking for a new team member for our USDA Plant! Southside Market has been around since 1882 and is the oldest BBQ joint in the state. We started selling freshly butchered meat off a back of a wagon and week our history alive on a much bigger scale in out Plant. We have a variety of products including brisket, chicken, ribs and more. But here at Southside we are known as the sausage capital of Texas. We are currently looking for a Packaging Technician!

Requirements

Prior manufacturing plant experience preferred.
Ability to obtain a food handlers certification

Nice To Haves

Bilingual highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Cuts and packages processed products.
Uses shrink machine to wrap packages
Labels all packages according to USDA guidelines
Weighs and prices all packaged products
Boxes all products and prepares them for shipping
Operates the packaging machine.
Weighs and prices product
Produces raw product according to USDA
Sanitizes and maintains packaging equipment
Cleans and sanitizes the packaging area according to USDA
Observes safety and security standards.
