About The Position

Primary Responsibilities: Start up, changeover, and shut down assigned machines as necessary Effectively and efficiently set-up labeler and identify quality issues Perform minor adjustments to machinery under the supervision of maintenance supervisor, production lead, and/or production supervisor Complete production documentation as assigned Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment including basic mechanical preventive inspections Conduct maintenance visual inspections and machine lubrication as required by the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) issued operator PMs Complete work orders in the CMMS Periodically document and complete PM and operation specification checklists at the line Maintain relevant documentation for assigned equipment Perform quality checks on assigned machines Maintain safety, quality and production standards

Requirements

  • Basic mathematic skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills including reading and understanding technical documentation
  • Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively as required
  • Consistently meet line efficiencies for assigned line and schedule
  • Team player driven to succeed in a flexible fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented to be able to understand and quickly correct deviations in the process according to system design and upper and lower control limits
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. consistently throughout the day

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial packaging machine operating experience is preferred
  • Basic understanding of wrappers, scales, baggers, labelers and printers related to set-up is preferred.

Responsibilities
