About The Position

Packaging Supervisor – Dodge City, KS This is an exempt level position. Position Summary: This position will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the packaging and sanitation departments. This position will be responsible for the direction of up to 10 employees and overseeing multiple production lines. The supervisor will be a quality champion and investigation and follow up of quality concerns will be paramount. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • 2 years of plant experience preferred; previous packaging experience is a plus
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures (previous safety committee and/or other safety leadership experience is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Quality and Sanitation: responsible for maintaining an environment that assures our customers receive a wholesome and safe product delivered to their specifications by ensuring that all quality assurance and food safety programs are enforced.
  • Correct quality issues
  • Proactively address quality issues
  • Ensure HACCP documentation requirements are met, and documentation is in line with FSMA regulations
  • Manage sanitation aspects of packing department
  • Compliance with Environmental Programs: Ensure that all environmental protection programs are followed to assure a safe work environment and to sustain ADM’s reputation as a good corporate neighbor.
  • Proactively manage the environmental aspects of your area
  • Profitability and Production Efficiency: This position is accountable for managing the packaging areas in a manner that will help achieve the goal of safely packaging, storing and handling material and reducing waste.
  • Reduce cost and operating expense
  • Regularly review the production cost of all products
  • Reduce or eliminate production barriers
  • Manage efforts to reduce or eliminate waste
  • Asset management and preservation
