About The Position

The Packaging Specialist provides technical packaging expertise on cross functional project teams to develop and commercialize innovative and competitive packaging in support of the innovation pipeline, in compliance with Nestle standards and policies. Possesses understanding of the product properties, packaging components and equipment and quality aspects of the packaging design, to demonstrate mastery of existing formats including rigid, flexible, carton and corrugate. Actively seeks new packaging concepts which will lead to a competitive advantage and provides technical assistance to various internal departments to support business and manufacturing goals and Nestlé sustainability commitments. Develops and maintains relationships with other Nestlé divisions, both in R&D and Operations, as well as vendors and manufacturing locations. Ensures that packaging systems provide adequate protection and preservation of product quality, conform to marketing and marketplace requirements, and are optimized with respect to cost, labor, machinery, handling and transport. Follows and upholds all Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment policies as pertains to role.
