About The Position

The Packaging Project Manager (PPM) at SGK is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of packaging development projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget constraints. This role serves as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners, facilitating communication and problem-solving throughout the project process. The PPM will develop strong client relationships and utilize technical knowledge to resolve complex issues, while also monitoring project milestones and ensuring compliance with branding and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
• 6+ years of previous project management experience or equivalent education and experience.
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis and interpretation.
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and clients.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Center, FSQA, and Packaging team to develop project scope and timelines.
• Collect packaging project inputs and validate necessary inputs for project execution.
• Monitor production art development from design handoff to final materials.
• Facilitate resolution of art file or printing issues with suppliers/printers.
• Lead design extensions and adaptations across multiple structures and substrates.
• Communicate and manage print processes with printers and SGK personnel as necessary.
• Develop, communicate, and manage project timelines and status to partners.
• Resolve issues within and between projects and monitor artwork project progress.
• Ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct risk assessment and contingency planning for projects.
• Manage the end-to-end product packaging approval process.
• Ensure compliance with processes and standardized ways of working.
• Seek out and recommend improvement opportunities for efficiencies.
