About The Position

Directs and coordinates activities of the night shift production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position does include night differential pay. This position is the only management position on all shifts, and requires additional implied responsibilities for other areas.

Requirements

  • Must have High school diploma or equivalency
  • Must have 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Must have 2+ years related manufacturing and/or Flexo printing experience, required
  • Must have extensive knowledge of manufacturing: print, lamination and slitting.
  • English is required

  • Spanish/bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Retrieves, compiles, stores, and analyzes production data and provides management with insight as to more effective and efficient means of accomplishing production.
  • Maintains harmony among employees and resolves grievances. Communicates effectively with employees to relay messages, policies, practices, schedules, etc.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains employee time for payroll purposes, in accordance with Accounting and Human Resources policies.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
