The position involves working with the Packaging Planning Team to support BMW Packaging Planners with daily activities, improving and maintaining existing products in production areas, and assisting with the analysis of packaging concepts/options for future models.

Requirements

  • Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics Students.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • German and/or Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Logistics knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support in analysis of existing packaging (steel and non-steel) for optimizations to reduce environmental impact, logistics costs, or for communizing across multiple product lines.
  • General support for Packaging Planners on modifications, identification projects and modification of existing packaging.
  • Moderation of Packaging Planning Meetings, including team meetings and packaging reviews for new/modified containers.
