About The Position

Under limited supervision, work closely with the planning, packaging, quality, and R&D groups to ensure the creation and issuance of scheduled, cGMP compliant work order travelers to the Packaging Department. Perform a variety of functions in scheduling, planning, expediting, report generation, and attending meetings to ensure timely production of packaged finished goods.

Requirements

• Ability to learn MS Dynamics NAV production planning systems and processes.
• Ability to cross train into other functional Production Control areas.
• One year related experience in a planning, packaging, or production environment.
• Strong organizational and verbal communication skills necessary with the ability to work with personnel in a variety of other departments to achieve job goals.
• Knowledge and ability to utilize MS Excel/Word to generate reports/SOPs.
• Pass planning assessment test with 80% or better.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MS Word/Excel/Access/SQL.
• Production planning, ERP/MRP systems, inventory control experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Navision ERP system, production guide, and planning schedule to create and verify Packaging Batch Record/Travelers, and to manage the Traveler throughout the QC review process to meet the packaging schedule and prevent packaging downtime and product stock outs.
• Work closely with QC and Packaging personnel to ensure Travelers are completed in time to meet the Packaging schedule, and request BOM change/updates to the product guide from R&D as needed.
• Verify bulk lots and label revisions and their inventory levels to assign to work order travelers.
• Attend production meetings to set priorities and schedules and obtain updates from Packaging.
• Generate and distribute daily production schedules, priority and planning reports.
• Support the Production Control Department by performing clerical functions such as data entry, research, supply maintenance, and responding to Sales inquiries and perform other duties as requested
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Threshold management.
