About The Position

The Packaging Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating packaging equipment, monitoring performance, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This position requires adherence to equipment operating parameters and involves troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to ensure efficient production. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a Production Operator is required.
• Good math and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Experience with operator OIT control panels is needed.
• Prior knowledge or ability to run automated casing equipment is required.
• Mechanical aptitude to sequence equipment for proper start-up and shutdown is necessary.
• Ability to identify line problems and employ corrective actions is required.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive stooping, lifting 50 pounds, bending, and standing while operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and provide relief for other operators as needed.
• Utilize computer terminals and Laboratory Information System (LIS) to track downtime.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on lift trucks as required.
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Autonomous Maintenance.
• Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot casing equipment, including marsh printers and bar coding systems.
• Complete necessary conveyor adjustments for changeovers and make minor packaging equipment adjustments.
