SUMMARY The primary function of a packager "I" is to prepare, clean, package, box, and inspect products in a controlled environment or other properly designated area such as a non-sterile packaging bench. Must be able to comply with all governing rules including S.N.E. policies and procedures and adhere to safety and cleanliness practices in the work place. This position requires an individual to participate within a team environment and take direction from a team leader. Internal - Requires the ability to interact with team members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Package medical products using but not limited to the following methods: Verify components for count, quantity, and revision. Generate and affix labels to properly identify materials. Read and understand blue prints. Box and package product for shipment to sterilizer. Clean components in preparation for packaging. Seal products using various heat sealing machines and materials such as: Tyvek pouches. Foil pouch material. Non-sterile plastic pouch material. Blister tray/pouch configurations Perform other related duties as follows: Assist in the training of lesser skilled employees. Work with molding group to help trim molded components Other related duties as assigned Complete and understand documentation needed to comply with S.N.E. policies, Quality Manual and procedures including but not limited to: FDA, QSR and various domestic and international standards and regulations. Company policies and procedures. Labor transactions and bar code scanning. Work in a team environment using the following skills: Communication both by verbal and written means Listening and reaching consensus with others. Participating in continuous Process improvement activities. REQUIREMENTS Travel Education High School education or equivalent required. Licenses/Certifications Experience Some clean room or medical packaging experience desired Competencies Requires ability to assemble and handle small components.
