Operation of blowmold machines involves performing short-cycle, repetitive, and control functions in set patterns to attain high-quality production output that meets or exceeds customer expectations. To be considered a qualified candidate for this position, an individual must have completed required training for the position.

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e. Technical or Vocational education).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains standard production objectives through proper machine operation and accurately records production
  • Knows and practices safe and proper start-up and shut-down procedures for each machine.
  • Performs minor adjustments to machinery involving hand movements and simple hand tools to ensure smooth, continued machine operation.
  • Follows and adheres to all Food Safety requirements within the plant.
  • Has authority to stop machines/production to communicate machine problems and breakdowns to Supervisor or Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Inspects product for quality defects. Has authority to stop production due to quality issues.
  • Maintains housekeeping of all assigned areas. This includes applying Good Manufacturing Practices to meet plant goals.
  • Actively participates in Quality training and Good Manufacturing Practice meetings to assist in continuous improvement of plant operations.
  • Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as trained during the various safety-related training programs.
  • Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Properly uses all personal protective equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Production Manager.
